The Senate agreed to refer matters relating to Australia’s Indigenous visual arts and craft sector to the Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts Legislation Committee for report by the first sitting day in 2007

Public meeting

The Senate agreed that the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee may hold a public meeting while the Senate is sitting on 16 August 2006 from 4.30 pm to take evidence for the committee’s inquiry into water policy initiatives

Reporting date extended

The Senate agreed to extend the reporting date for the inquiry of the Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts References Committee into women in sport and recreation in Australia to 6 September 2006
