    to: provide for a 10 per cent cap on the deductible amount for a defined benefit income stream that can be excluded from the social security income test from 1 January 2016; and reduce from 26 to two weeks the period during which age pension and other payments with unlimited portability can be paid outside Australia at the means-tested rate from 1 January 2017; the

What is a bill?

A bill is a proposal for a law or a change to an existing law. A bill becomes law (an Act) when agreed to in identical form by both houses of Parliament and assented to by the Governor-General.
