  Amends the:

  Social Security Act 1991

  Social Security (Administration) Act 1999

  to require holders of certain specified visas issued for temporary protection, humanitarian or safe haven purposes to satisfy a special benefit activity test similar to the one that currently operates in relation to newstart allowance, and other newstart allowance conditions;

  Family and Community Services Legislation Amendment (Australians Working Together and Other 2001 Budget Measures) Act 2002

  to: introduce mandatory continuous adjustment of family tax benefit rates in certain circumstances; cease fortnightly family tax benefit and past period payments in the same income year when income tax returns are not lodged; and enable information sharing between the Australian Taxation Office and Centrelink for reconciliation and debt offsetting purposes.

  to enable people subject to the Northern Territory income management regime to access the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal appeal mechanisms; and

  Social Security Act 1991

  to: provide new Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) participants, commencing on or after 1 July 2009, with access to the CDEP program while receiving income support payments; and provide that existing CDEP participants receive CDEP wages from CDEP providers and, in certain circumstances, the CDEP Scheme Participant Supplement.
