About the Parliamentary Education Office

The Parliamentary Education Office (PEO) educates Australians about, and inspires their enthusiasm for, Australia’s parliamentary democracy.

Through our accessible, immersive, experiential programs and resources, the PEO fosters informed, engaged and active citizens of all ages.

In addition, the PEO publishes Australia’s Constitution pocket edition and manages the Your Questions on Notice website.

Staff

The PEO team are highly experienced professional educators with extensive knowledge of parliamentary process, pedagogy and the Australian Curriculum.

Administration

The PEO is jointly funded by the Department of the Senate and the Department of the House of Representatives, and provides whole-of-parliament education services and support.

School Bookings

Join in the fun—and the learning—with the PEO’s immersive learning programs. Delivered at Parliament House in Canberravia video conferencingin-person at your school, these programs give primary and secondary students hands-on experience of how our Parliament works.
