Visit of Aung San Suu Kyi – Photogallery

Chairperson of the National League for Democracy, Burma, Aung San Suu Kyi, visited the Australian Parliament in Canberra on 28 November 2013. She toured the Senate and House of Representatives Chambers with Senate President John Hogg and House of Representatives Speaker Bronwyn Bishop.

During her visit to Parliament House, the Nobel Peace Laureate met with Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten.

She also spoke with Parliament House architect Romaldo Giurgola and met with a group of Australian parliamentarians to gain an insight into their work as MPs and senators.
